There are certain things which spell the beginning of summer – like daytime drinking, wondering if you’ve really got the legs for shorts and being unable to watch TV until at least 9.30pm because one of your curtains has fallen permanently off the rail and the sun’s shining right on the fucking screen. But nothing really compares to secretsundaze‘s season-opening party, which this year takes place at THAT in Greenwich on May 3 and will feature guests Brothers Vibe, Move D and Melon.
secretsundaze have booked US deep house producer Tony ‘Brothers’ Vibe‘ Rodriguez before, but he never got to play after Visa issues prevented him getting into the UK at all; he should have better luck this time. He’ll be supported by Ratio?music’s Melon and the evergreen Move D, who’ll be performing live. ‘sundaze founders and residents Giles Smith and James Priestley (pictured above) will of course be spinning tunes as well.
The venue is THAT, formerly known as The House & Terrace (see what they’ve done there?), in Greenwich, of which Smith and Priestley have the following to say:
"We instantly knew when seeing the terrace it was the right place for our opening party. Walking through the club one enters a wide and deep, wooden decked terrace. The venue has been hugely accommodating indulging our whims and it now looks super. We can really picture it going off there. The club itself is being used as an extension of the terrace as it has a series of “double doors” opening out onto it. It has also just had a refurbishment with new Nexo sound system (both inside and out) and comfortable seating and chill out areas."
