Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve‘s sumptous remix of Midlake‘s ‘Roscoe’ is finally getting a release on vinyl, some three years after it first entered our lives.

It will be available in a 10″, limited to 500 copies, courtesy of Is It Balearic’s offshoot label, Remix. It’s an officially licensed, one-off pressing and your first – and probably last – chance to own it on vinyl. It’s previously appeared only as a digital file and on the Midlake ‘Roscoe’ and Beyond The Wizard’s Sleeve Re-Animations CDs. It will be available very soon – find out more here.

Furthermore, a “super-deluxe” heavyweight vinyl edition of Midlake’s new album, The Courage of Others, has been unveiled. It’s comprised of double vinyl, CD, live CD, 32-page booklet and a DVD documentary directed by Hollywood actor/filmmaker Jason Lee. It’s retailing at a not inconsiderable £75. The album will be available in all formats on February 1.
