We told you about 2 Bears last year, the collaboration between Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, who recently put out a solo album Harvest Festival, and Greco-Roman’s Raf Daddy.

Well now there’s a record. On April 12, Southern Fried will release Follow the Bears, the debut EP by the pair. It features four tracks, ‘Follow the Bear’, ‘Mercy Time’, ‘When Am I Going to Make a Living?’ and ‘Be Strong’.

We’re promised “rump-shaking, unpretentious house” from the pair, who birthed the EP across “several months of hanging out, making music ‘for the fun of it’, and ‘portamental’ arguments about obscure synths”. Raf Daddy also sings at one point.

The title of Follow the Bears comes from the pair’s weekly radio show on Ministry of Sound Radio. They’ll be supporting Hot Chip this month, with DJ sets at the Manchester Academy (Feb 19), Birmingham O2 Academy (Feb 20), and Brixton Academy (Feb 26 and 27).

You can stream the entire EP on the Bears’ myspace.
