Electronic musician and sound artist Florian Hecker will release an untitled 12″ next month, featuring three pieces produced for the Comme des Garçons HOMME PLUS fashion show held in Paris in January 2009.

The 12″ is being issued by Editions Mego, and is limited to 500 copies. The label describes it as “some of Hecker’s most accessible work to date, and a fine addition to any serious electronic music collection.”

Written and produced by Hecker, the three tracks were cut by Rashad Becker at Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin. The cover art is a reproduction of Florian Pumhösl’s Modernology 15 (2007), with typsetting by Tina Frank. More information here.

Florian Hecker is best known for his collaborations with Aphex Twin and Russell Haswell. He has created installations at galleries around the world, was awarded the prestigious Prix Ars Electronica in 2003 for SUN PANDÄMONIUM, and has released records on labels including Rephlex, Warp and Warner Classics.
