We’re proud to present a short Rough Trade documentary on Pantha du Prince as the latest of our series of video premieres.

FACT have long been supporters of Pantha, the German producer whose blend of field music, chimes and thudding techno gives him one of the world’s most unique, fragile and beautiful musical personalities, and his second album This Bliss featured very high in last year’s Albums of the Decade countdown.

His most recent opus, Black Noise finds Pantha working for a wider audience (he’s now signed to Rough Trade) but not resting on his laurels. He’s also remixed Animal Collective, Cold Cave and more to great effect in his time.

Here Rough Trade talk to the Pantha about growing up in the mountain forests of Northern Hesse, and the extraordinary concept behind Black Noise, with a soundtrack naturally taken from the album. For those eager to learn more, we’d also direct you to our recent interview with Pantha.
