Parisian proggers Zombie Zombie will take to the Southbank Centre this May, to soundtrack Sergei Eisenstein’s The Battleship Potemkin.

Zombie Zombie came to many’s attention with a pair of early 12″s, followed by their 2008 debut album A Land for Renegades. The pair make deeply atmospheric synth music that looks to the usual soundtrackers (Carpenter, Argento) and the weirder side of the Krautrock spectrum. Here, they’ll be imagining a soundtrack to a silent movie from 1926 that deals with the 1905 mutiny by the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin, against their officers of the Tsarist regime. The band debuted the performance in Paris at the end of last year; this will be the UK premiere of it.

It takes place on May 28, to book tickets and for more information click here.
