Lazerproof is the title of a new mixtape from Major Lazer, the dancehall-oriented project of Diplo and Switch, and La Roux.

Diplo’s Mad Decent label will release the mix as a free download this Wednesday, 26 May, here. Apparently Major Lazer assembled the tape on a recent trip to Jamaica, and it features turns from Gyptian, Rusko and Amanda Blank as well as pre-existing bars from Gucci Mane and drake. Not entirely sure what Elly Jackson’s contribution is – at a guess, a lot of strained warbling – but guess we’ll find out tomorrow.

This is the third in Diplo’s loose series of mixtape collaborations with a notable female singers, following 2004’s Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol.1 (with M.I.A.) and 2008’s Top Ranking (with Santigold).
