Today’s Daily Download comes from Leeds’ Senseless label (newcomers should check out the excellent Vocals and Versions CDs featuring Warrior Queen, Starkey and more) in the form of a track from their new release, the Zarbak EP by Pocz and Pacheko.
Pocz and Pacheko hail from Venezuela, and we’ve been banging on about the latter in particular for a couple of years; Pacheko’s worked frequently with fellow countryman Cardopusher, and released his deliriously twisted, colourful productions on well-suited labels like Lo Dubs and Seclusiasis.
The Zarbak EP features remixes by Blunted Robots’ Brackles and Portugal’s Mr. Gasparov, and it’s the latter we’ve got for you today – starting where last year’s ‘1975’ single for UK label Steak House left off, with light-footed percussion and laser-sharp melodic turns.
