This week sees the digital release of Many Faces, a six-track EP from Machinedrum.

New York-based Machinedrum’s music ranges from elasticated 2-step through broken hip-hop, Neptunes-influenced lovers’ R&B and balls-out bassline house; all these flavours and more besides come through on Many Faces, which is being released through LuckyMe, whose Hudson Mohawke has acknowledged Machinedrum as an influence on his own productions. You can preview the tracks here.

The vinyl edition, out August 16, is pretty lavish, including as it does a Many Faces T-shirt and exclusive Tstewart album on cassette tape in addition to the 12″ EP. It’s limited to 100 copies and the design is by LuckyMe’s DomSum, with the above young lady gracing its cover. The digital version of Many Faces boasts an exclusive remix of ‘Carry The Weight’ by Night Slugs’ Bok Bok.
