German composer Max Richter will be performing his new album infra in full on Friday 17 September at Cadogan Hall, near Sloane Square.

Originally conceived as a Royal Ballet-commissioned collaboration with Wayne McGregor and artist Julian Opie, Richter’s gorgeous score to infra was written in autumn 2008 and premiered in November of the same year at The Royal Opera House in London. Expanded and extended from the original piece so that it could be released as an album on FatCat Records, it compromises music written for piano, electronics and a string quintet.

Richter made a name for himself through acclaimed film scores for the likes of 2007’s Waltz With Bashir as well as collaborations with Roni Size and Future Sound of London. This event offers a rare chance to enjoy Richter’s work in all its glory.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are £19.50 from the Cadogan Hall website.
