Indie nostalgics, get your hankies ready. The Flaming Lips will be performing their 1999 album, The Soft Bulletin in full next year at London’s Alexandra Palace.

And even better, they’ll be supported by Dinosaur Jr and Deerhoof, who’ll be playing Bug (1988) and Milk Man (2004) respectively. The Soft Bulletin is considered by many to be the Lips’ peak, featuring favourites like ‘Race for the Price’ and ‘The Spiderbite Song’, and is spoke about in the same breath as OK Computer, Loveless, Daydream Nation and the rest in certain indie quarters.

The gig isn’t until July 1, 2011, but tickets for the night go on sale on Friday September 3, priced at £40 via ATP’s homepage.
