Indie nostalgics, get your hankies ready. The Flaming Lips will be performing their 1999 album, The Soft Bulletin in full next year at Londonâs Alexandra Palace.
And even better, theyâll be supported by Dinosaur Jr and Deerhoof, whoâll be playing Bug (1988) and Milk Man (2004) respectively. The Soft Bulletin is considered by many to be the Lipsâ peak, featuring favourites like âRace for the Priceâ and âThe Spiderbite Songâ, and is spoke about in the same breath as OK Computer, Loveless, Daydream Nation and the rest in certain indie quarters.
The gig isn’t until July 1, 2011, but tickets for the night go on sale on Friday September 3, priced at ÂŁ40 via ATPâs homepage.
