New Jersey house and garage legend Todd Edwards has been taken ill with a “serious health issue”.

According to his manager, Alexis, Edwards went into hospital yesterday for immediate surgery, and will be recuperating for at least eight weeks. All forthcoming gigs have been cancelled, including a forthcoming show at Fabric.

A huge influence on the UK’s garage scene and beyond, Todd Edwards has remixed some of the biggest names in pop, and collaborated with Daft Punk on their landmark Discovery album. He’s a musical hero to many of FACT’s favourite contemporary artists, and his contribution to our mix series represents a a particularly proud moment for our office. We wish Todd a speedy recovery, and our thoughts are with him and his loved ones.
