California beatmaker Shlohmo has announced details of his debut album.

Released through the West Coast’s Friends of Friends label, the record will be 13/14 (depending on format) tracks long, and titled Bad Vibes. It features the excellent ‘Places’, released as a 7″ single earlier this year, and according to Shlohmo has been “a little over a year in the making. I’ve worked pretty god damn hard on this thing. Shit, I dropped out of college to make it.” [via Resident Advisor]

So there you go. Bad Vibes will be released on August 9; to tide fans over until then, Shlohmo is giving away free remixes of Gucci Mane, Kelis and Wacka Flocka Flame here.
