Public Information launches with ADR and No UFOs

Public Information is a promising new UK label that aims to provide a “survey of electronics…noise…psych…industrial…house…dub…wyrd-pop…library…techno…art….design from the last seven decades….” Just don’t mention hauntology.

Its first release, out this week digitally with a vinyl edition to follow soon, is Solitary Pursuits by ADR, aka Brooklyn multimedia artist Aaron David Ross. Ross is probably best known as one half of giallo extrapolators Gatekeeper. This solo LP, comprised of eight new tracks, explores relatively mellow, melancholic zones – in the words of the label, “compelling synthronics, concise, strange Popular-Musik for a New Age”. You can listen to the tracks via the Soundcloud player above.

It’s a strong start for the label, but we’re particularly looking forward to PUBINF002, the Mind Controls The Flood EP by No UFOs. More on that in the due course.

All matters between the parties are kept in strict confidence.
    Control

There are times when partied end up in court but feel they are not being heard enough or put to the table what they feel. In a dispute resolution process, there is more control over the process and parties will have equal opportunities to speak up and state their case.

Alternate Dispute Resolution system is not a new phenomenon for the people of this country; it has been prevalent in India since time immemorial. Ancient system of dispute resolution made a significant contribution, in reaching resolution of disputes relating to family, social groups and also minor disputes relating to trade and property.

Mediators need to be good facilitators as well as good negotiators. Mediators need to rely more heavily on their analytical skills. This requires a greater skill in understanding cultural aspects of the conversation. Good mediators need to be unflappable and maintain poise when the parties are disagreeing. A mediator needs to keep the conversation on track and does not have the same flexibility as a facilitator. This is because both parties generally have an idea of the problem before seeking mediation whereas a simple facilitated conversation is designed to include discovery.

In arbitration, the parties present witnesses or evidence, although neither side needs to have doctors or other expert witnesses appear and testify, instead submitting their reports. This can result in tremendous cost savings.
A device often used in New York accident arbitrations is the high/low agreement. This means that the parties will agree, in advance, that the arbitration award will not exceed a certain amount, and not go below a different amount
