Rizlab have announced details of its third collaborative project of 2011, with Ghostpoet and The D.O.T., the new band formed by Mike ‘The Streets’ Skinner and Rob Harvey.

Skinner became a fan of Ghostpoet following the release of the London vocalist’s debut album Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam, and invited him into his studio later in the year. The result is a track titled ‘Trouble’, which finds Skinner in synth-heavy form on the production, while Ghostpoet and Harvey take responsibility for the verses and chorus respectively.

With the track completed, the next step is the video. Given both artists’ history of self-directing, RizLab claim to be expecting “something truly off the wall”, and the pair have duly promised to deliver something interactive and conceptual. Below, you can watch the first in a series of trailers from Ghostpoet and The D.O.T., an ’80s sci-fi-tributing clip filmes in Skinner’s studio. Stay tuned for further details about the project in the coming weeks.

Past Rizlab collaborations have included Jamie XX and Quayola’s Structures, and Friendly Fires.
