No UFOs will release a new album, Soft Coast, through Editions Mego’s Spectrum Spools imprint on December 20.

We say new album, but Soft Coast was in fact the Vancouver artist’s debut casette, released last year up on Nice Up Int’l. The Spectrum Spools release represents the first time the record has been available on vinyl. More information here.

The alter ego of one Konrad Jandavs, No UFO’s has impressed with his releases to date, if not with that misplaced inverted comma in his moniker (though perhaps we should blame Model 500 for that). His latest offering, out now, is the Mind Controls The Flood EP on the UK’s Public Information label, who describe Jandavs’ immaculately scuffed proto-techno and krautrock derivations as “Kosmische Trash…noxious electronics….deep and frazzled futurescapes.” You can listen to the EP in full via the Soundcloud player above, and find more information here.
