Madlib makes so much music that you think he’d make more of it with MCs. We mean, it’s great doing seventeen volumes of Medicine Show in two months or whatever his current form is, but given his track record of working with rappers (Madvillain, Guilty Simpson et al) you’d imagine he’d want to collaborate more often than he currently does. Oh well. This track with Freddie Gibbs actually came out last November on Stones Throw, but we completely slept on it until it got a video this week. It’s brilliant, particularly the Scarface jacket. You should watch it.
