Skream and Krystal Klear to lock horns in a Discoclash

Deadly and Red Bull Music Academy have joined forces to present an unorthodox soundclash next month.

Apparently conceived after some “serious banter” between dubstep figurehead Skream (pictured) and young boogie devotee Krystal Klear, the night will see both producers – along with Hoya:Hoya’s Jon K and an undisclosed special guest – reach for their disco collections. It sounds like there’ll be an adversarial spin on proceedings – the prospect of getting a rewind on Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’ is whetting whistles in these parts – and the event’s sure to unearth some gems from both parties. It’s part of RBMA’s application phase for their forthcoming session in New York – more info on that here.

The clash will take place at East Village in Shoreditch on Thursday March 1, from 9pm-3am. Entry is free – all you have to do is RSVP, which you can do through the Deadly website.
