Andrew Weatherall is curating a night of music at The Garage on February 17, featuring Optimo, Night Angles, Warm Digits and more.
The legendary UK DJ – plus producer behind Primal Scream’s Screamadelica, instrumental figure in London’s first acid house explosion, and member of Two Lone Swordsmen and Sabres Of Paradise – is curating a night of music at London’s The Garage in association with Fred Perry.
As well as Weatherall DJing on the night, Sean Johnston, who puts on the monthly A Love From Outer Space club night with Weatherall, will play in the main room. Live sets in that room come from the Krautrock-influenced Warm Digits and London Eurodisco re-interpreters and latest Moshi Moshi Records signing Night Angles.
Glasgow’s infamous Optimo, meanwhile, will play the Legends Room, while the Discovery Room plays host to Scott Fraser (who produced for Weatherall’s label in the ’90s, and more recently has remixed Virgo Four for Rush Hour) and Timothy Fairplay, whose last release of hard-hitting acid came out on London’s World Unknown.
