Lovebox announce first names for 2012

East London’s sizable Lovebox festival has announced its first names for 2012.

The Groove Armada-curated festival has run annually in Hackney’s Victoria Park since 2002, so 2012′s edition marks a decade of one of the capital’s most prominent festivals. This year, it runs across three days, from June 15-17, with Friday night dominated by live shows from Hot Chip, Crystal Castles [above] and electronic wunderkind Madeon on the main stage. Rinse FM bring Magnetic Man, Zinc, Boy Better Know, Marcus Nasty, P Money and more to the Big Top, while Digital Soundboy curate a stage with Rusko, Sub Focus (live), Breakage, Toddla T, The Heatwave and more. On the slightly more cerebral side of things, Hessle Audio have their own showcase with sets from Pearson Sound, Pangaea, Ben UFO and Benji B.

Saturday features live shows from Friendly Fires, Kelis, Azealia Banks, Little Dragon, a Crosstown Rebels presentation with Damian Lazarus, Maceo Plex and Art Department and a Warm & Electric Minds-hosted stage with Dixon, Joy Orbison, Prosumer, Move D and Gerd Janson, while on Sunday things take a turn for the fiercer, with Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s Holly Johnson, Patrick Wolf and Azari & III all playing live, and DJ sets from Andrew Weatherall, Optimo and more.
