On March 26, Belle & Sebastian will release their second contribution to the Late Night Tales compilation series.

Arriving six years after the Scottish band’s first entry, their Late Night Tales (Volume Two) is another collection of winsome pop, post-punk, tender psychedelia and the occasional curveball. Highlights include two songs by Broadcast, jazz from Mulatu Astatke and the Stan Tracey Quartet, dubbed-out 80s offerings from Pete Shelley and The Pop Group, ‘Soul Vibrations’ by harpist Doroth Ashby, Bonnie Dobson’s eerie folk gem ‘Bird Of Space’ and David Behrman’s majestic 1977 improvisation ‘On The Other Ocean’.

Belle & Sebastian contribute their own exclusive cover version of The Primitives’ 1988 song ‘Crash’, and the album concludes with a spoken word piece by Paul Morley. It will be available on CD, 2xLP and digital.
