First it was Bjork with her DNA fixation, now Wu Tang Clan’s GZA is making an album inspired by quantum physics.

Consequence of Sound report that the Wu Tang rapper, whose ’95 album Liquid Swords ranks as one of hip-hop’s all-time greatest, is busy in the studio working on an album influenced by his recent experiences meeting MIT scientists. His seventh solo album, it’s titled Dark Matter (of course it’s titled Dark Matter), and also comes heavily inspired by astronomy.

In GZA’s own words, “I recently met with quantum physicists who deepened my interest in the cosmos and gave me further inspiration for this next album” GZA said in a press statement. “I want to take my listeners on a journey through deep space and deconstruct the idea of science fiction.”
