A brief round-up of some of the dance music highlights in and around record stores this weekend:


Burial & Four Tet – ‘Nova’


– Burial and Four Tet’s – as you’d expect – massively hyped ‘Nova’ will be available from Monday 19 March. Phonica already have it on pre-order.

– The latest dose of basement acid techno from Instra:mental’s Boddika, ‘Acid Jackson’ / ‘Basement’, comes on Swamp81 and drops on Friday March 23.

– 2562’s Air Jordan EP, a record inspired by and featuring field recordings from a trip around Jordan, is out now. You can stream the whole thing on FACT.

– Mr. Beatnick’s ‘Sun Goddess’, the follow-up to the London producer’s sublime 2011 single ‘Synthetes’, is also out now.

– Highlights of recent digital EPs on Roska’s Kicks & Snares label have been pressed to vinyl under the banner RKS All-Stars Vol. 3. The 12″ features three of UK Funky’s finest in Champion’s ‘Selecta’, MA1’s ‘Bassbox’ and Naughty’s ‘Unstoppable’, and is expected in stores on the last week of March.



– Swindle and Silkie’s long, long-awaited collaboration ‘Unlimited’ / ‘Pineapple’ will be released through Butterz on March 23.

– The latest vinyl-only transmission from Night Slugs’ White Label sub-series, Helix’s ‘Drum Trak’ is out now – pairing the smashing instrumental with a vocal version by grime vet Flirta D. You can stream a radio rip of the latter above.

– Finally, on a housier tip Rush Hour producer Hunee’s typically bouncing new single ‘Tide’ dropped this week; it’s the lead from his forthcoming debut album.
