One half of louche synth-pop duo Junior Boys is set to release his solo debut.

Recording under his own name, Jeremy Greenspan has signed a pair of exceptionally slow-burning synth jams to fellow Canadian Dan Snaith’s Jiaolong imprint. As far as signings go, this one fits like a glove – both of these tracks show more than a passing resemblance to Snaith’s recent – and excellent – Emeralds remix 12”.

They’re much more understated though, as you might expect – ‘Crown Princess’ sounds like the perfect soundtrack to a lazy Sangria-in-the-park type situation, while ‘Guu’ is a stilted drum machine jam, fiendishly hypnotic and rich with nuance. No release date confirmed as yet, but you can stream the two tracks in full below.
