Hessle’s last single release was Objekt’s wonder-to-behold ‘Cactus’. Later this month, they’re set to return with a new double-sider from Elgato.

The discreet producer last cropped on Hessle with the eski-inflected ‘Blue’/’Tonight’ single back in 2010. His new release, titled ‘Zone’/’Luv Zombie’, sees him developing the traits that made that last single so easy to fall in love with.

‘Luv Zombie’, a slow-burning cluster of pinprick drums and snatches of warped voices, takes its time building up an intricate rhythmic structure, only turning on the low-end after three minutes of build up – a move that pays serious dividends. ‘Zone’, meanwhile, is more psychedelic, a less manipulated male voice punctuating another slowly developing groove.

‘Zone’/’Luv Zombie’ are available on April 23 through Hessle Audio, as both a 12″ and a download. Both tracks are available to stream in part from the Hessle Audio website.
