Joy Orbison's 'Ellipsis' finally gets a release

Joy Orbison’s Source Direct-sampling stormer ‘Ellipsis’ is finally getting a release.

The latest in a long history of tracks from the South London producer that seem to take half a lifetime to see wax (see also: ‘Sicko Cell’, ‘Swims’), you’ll recognise ‘Ellipsis’ from that catchy “we just used to like… do our own thing” sample, and there’s a good chance that you spent half of 2011 trying to get it out of your head. The track will be released by Orbison and Will Bankhead’s (of Trilogy Tapes fame) Hinge Finger label on May 21, and is available to pre-order here.

Oh, and even better: it’s backed with a remix by Shed’s piano-heavy Head High guise. You can stream a radio rip of ‘Ellipsis’ below.
