A couple of months ago, Baltimore pop duo Beach House claimed that their new album would be their own Pet Sounds.

“Not in sound”, the group’s Alex Scally clarified, “but as something which feels like a definitive statement.” He then went on to say that Beach House could easily make a number one if they wanted to, and some other vaguely outlandish stuff.

Co-produced by Chris Coady (whose past credits include Gang Gang Dance and Zola Jesus), you can now stream Bloom, the follow-up to 2010’s well-received Teen Dream, over at NPR.
