06: RHYTHIM IS RHYTHIM (DERRICK MAY)
‘NUDE PHOTO’
(TRANSMAT, 1987)

SP: “
Back in 1987, the year I graduated high school, this track had the most syncopated bassline in the history of basslines! When I first heard this track, I said to myself: this is something special and only a select few people in the world will get this. I felt like I had the key to the door and everyone wanted to get through the door to see and hear what I was listening to. This was my theme song and I would listen to it while getting dressed for school and it would set the pace for my day ahead.”
