Bigg Jus doesn't write for us to be pleased. He ejects thoughts of his own making, by his effort. I think he's more interested in making records for himself, rather than pandering to an audience. He doesn't give a fuck what you want to hear. If he did, he'd be rapping about cliche shows of money and power, or for indie inclinations girlfriends, bullying, and for-shock offensives. The music is morose because that's what the world shows him. I find it refreshing. Instead of making me forget my troubles, he forces me to think of all the horrid provocations everyone is trying to forget. It's the kind of music you listen to when you can't stand this world anymore. It doesn't cheer you up, it reaffirms you, and if your strong enough, it galvanizes you. It's no surprise most people don't have the heart for it. I'm going to assume you haven't heard his work with Orko, "NMS". It's a soundtrack for revolt.

Big Jus was always better than El P. The second Company Flow split people where expecting Juss to move forward with albums and not EL P. I have no grip with dudes music but Juss was the entire backbone of Company Flow and made it what it was so I dont see how this would "shock" you.
