Outkast staple Big Boi has announced a few choice details about his forthcoming album.

Until this weekend, we hadn’t heard oodles about the follow-up to 2010’s excellent Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. This Saturday, however, Big Boi took to Twitter to offer up fresh information about the record. In one Tweet, Big Boi gave us the “Breaking News!!!!!” that the new LP will be called Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumours. [via Hot New Hip Hop]. The album was previously mooted to be called Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader.

Big Boi also revealed that the album will also feature a collaboration with UGK (we’re presuming that’s shorthand for Bun B, unless Pimp C is getting the hologram treatment) and languid man of the moment Big K.R.I.T. Whilst Big Boi camps out in the studio, fellow Outkaster Andre 3000 may or may not be playing Jimi Hendrix.
