Hudson Mohawke has updated Giacomo Puccini’s ‘O Mio Babbino Caro’ for Rockstar Games.

The Scottish producer’s take on the 1918 opera piece (you all know it, right? Right?) features on the trailer for Rockstar’s 10 Year Anniversary Edition of Grand Theft Auto 3. The trailer’s actually been online since December 15, but we weren’t alerted to Mohawke’s involvement until now, when Warp posted about it on Twitter.

It’s another big step in the career of Hud Mo, and presumably not a bad one for his bank balance too: he’s also recently contributed to a Kanye West track, produced for Azealia Banks, and been in the studio with US hitmaker Kane Beatz (of Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Bass’ and more). TNGHT, his tag-team with Montreal’s Lunice, have their debut EP coming out on Warp this Summer.
