I really like the list, but being a part of that scene way back then and living in a country that was far away from its epicenter, I have to say that I feel a bit annoyed about how overlooked names such as Krome & Time (they were brilliant up until 96), Altern-8 (undeniably important) and the whole Belgian-Dutch synth-heavy approach. Needless to reinforce the fact that ignoring Reinforced (pun intended) was a gross flaw, the label consistently released classic after classic throughout 93 alone.

I really wish that Fact mag would walk away from Hardcore & Jungle as they offer no insight into the music or the scene in any way shape or form.

A brilliant list. An impossible task to make a definitive 20, but I love the fact you’ve picked tracks that were proper anthems right at the heart of hardcore, rather than looking for retrospective cool by going for the most ”proto jungle” ones.
