Footwork-indebted nutjob Chrissy Murderbot has a new release in the pipeline for Phthalo offshoot Halo Cyan records.

Last year’s Women’s Studies on Planet Mu saw Murderbot concertinaing 30 years of filthy dance music into one hyperkinetic, screwball LP. The Chicago native has since followed suit with the I’m A Asshole EP, another reminder that Murderbot really doesn’t do demure.

Halo Cyan are set to release Friendship as a 12″ and digital EP late next month. Two new Murderbot tracks, ‘Bionic Penguins’ and ‘Friendship’, will feature. The set will also include remixes from fellow loon Legowelt and Sumsun. Murderbot’s own Loose Squares label also recently put out an EP by Leeds-based producer Sarantis.

Friendship is due on July 24.
