A$AP Rocky and Spaceghostpurrp at war; A$APMUZIK project probably not coming out

A two part update on Harlem golden boy A$AP Rocky.

First, A$APMUZIK, his collaborative mixtape with producer of the moment AraabMUZIK probably won’t be coming out. In a recent Pitchfork TV interview, AraabMUZIK, who appears a little fed up about the whole affair, explains that he doesn’t think the mixtape will be arriving any time soon, claiming that he doesn’t want to keep fans anticipating it any longer. Which seems fair enough. Rocky has, in the past, stated that AraabMUZIK is slated to appear on his next album, so we’ll hopefully see at least some the fruits of the pair’s labour.

Someone else that Rocky’s claimed will appear on said album is Spaceghostpurrp, but that might have all changed now. The recently 4AD-signed Raider Klvn pirate, along with several of his associates, has spent the last couple of days embroiled in an online war with Rocky and his A$AP camp, yesterday posting a video on YouTube severing all ties with Rocky (it’s since been removed). The whole fued is too long and boring to spell out in full here, but Mostlyjunkfood has the scoop.

It’s a shame, as Rocky and Spaceghostpurrp have collaborated in the past to great effect, and it’s believed that Rocky tried to sign Spaceghostpurrp to his RCA-funded A$AP Worldwide label late last year. Here’s some of their best efforts together:
