Update: According to NME, Banks will cover a Prodigy track on the tape. Banks has previously included interpolations of The Prodigy’s ‘Out Of Space’ in her sets, so we’d put our money on that being the one. The record also promises “a sea theme, but it’s less obviously mermaid stuff and more like witchy hip-hop and some real rave shit”.

In crushingly predictable news, Azealia Banks has delayed yet another major release.

So far this year, the Harlem sylph-of-filth has cancelled a host of festival dates in order to prep her album, and her 1991 EP arrived substantially later that originally planned (and that’s before we consider all the Twitter tomfoolery). The pattern continues with news (spotted at Prefix) that her upcoming Fantasea mixtape is now being pushed back even further – although, this time, the lag is only by a week.

Fantasea will now arrive on July 11, having originally been chalked up for a July 4 release. Previously aired cuts ‘Jumanji and ‘Aquababe’ will both make the mixtape. Banks’ full-length Broke With Expensive Taste is due in September, although we’re absolutely not holding our breath. At least Banks has been forthcoming with some new music: she popped up late last week on Danja’s remix of M.I.A’s ‘Bad Girls’.
