Detroit don Theo Parrish has a new release on the way.

Parrish’s contribution to the art is pretty inestimable (although we had a good go in our The Essential…Theo Parrish feature). He’s tossed out a brilliant array of intermittent 12″s since the late 1990s, not mention a raft of essential disco re-edits. He rolls with the illustrious Three Chairs collective, also featuring the likes of Rick Wilhite, Marcellus Pittman and Kenny Dixon Jr. He also helms the well-regarded Sound Signature imprint, and remains as vocal an advocate for the crafts of digging and mixing as you’ll find on the planet.

Juno Plus report that Parrish is now prepping a new three-track EP for Sound Signature. The disc will consist of two versions of the title track, plus extra cut ‘Beat These’. Advance reports suggest the record will be a fairly rough-edged affair, heavy on the percussion and offset with a touch of scuzz. The release follows this year’s odds’n’sods collection Sound Signature Sounds Vol. 2.
