Luke Younger’s Helm project seems finally to be getting the recognition it deserves.

Following a run of lowkey LP offerings, most recently 2011′s Cryptography on Graham Lambkin’s Kye label, Younger has produced his most exquisitely realised and accessible work to date for PAN. Entitled Impossible Symmetry, it’s out this week, and to accompany the release PAN have commissioned Simone Trabucchi to create a bizarrely beautiful video for one of its stand-out tracks – the brooding, rhythmic ‘Liskojen yö’. Watch it above.

Younger was one half of drone duo Birds Of Delay with Steven Warwick, who is now also recording for PAN as Heatsick. Younger’s own Alter label, with releases from Hieroglyphic Being, Liberez and Design A Wave to its name, is well worth checking out if you’re not already familiar with it.
