We’re somewhat fond of house upstart Gerry Read.

The young Suffolk native makes intricate house music with high ambitions and low production values; the results, as exemplified on this year’s Yeh Come Dance EP for Delsin, are wonderfully disconcerting, full of abrasive sonic tics and distorted details.

He’s just cobbled together a mix for Inverted Audio, featuring a bunch of brawny techno cuts. In Read’s words: “this is a mix I recorded very loud on my shit turntables when no-one was home… It’s a techno mix, because techno makes me bloody wet.”

Click here to download the mix, which sits around the 145/150bpm mark, and features much more frenetic fare than you might expect from one of Read’s own records.
