If you’ve been to Notting Hill Carnival in the last couple of years, then you’ll be aware of the hype that surrounds the now annual Red Bull Music Academy party.

This year’s appears to be no different: as ever, the line-up is a collaboration with the permanently flight-hopping Diplo and Switch’s Major Lazer Soundsystem, with appearances coming from Sean Paul (!), Dre Skull, Machel Montano and Nicky da B.

Elsewhere on the bill, long-standing reggae DJ David Rodigan touches down for a set, as do Lunice, Hudson Mohawke, Doc Daneeka, Mele b2b Lil Silva and Raf Riley. We’re also promised special guests – in past years, this has meant the likes of M.I.A., Santigold, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Toots & The Maytals.

Entry for the August 27 event is free, but tickets will be given on a first come, first served basis through Red Bull’s website at 10am, Thursday August 16.
