Rambunctious pop-theorist John Maus has collected a smattering of forgotten demos and unreleased material for a new compilation.

In our recent review of A Collection Of Rarities And Previously Unreleased Material, we talked about how the collection hung surprisingly like a Maus full-length: exceptionally immediate at points, but also sometimes a little too facetious for its own good. Despite the occasional rough patch, it really does contain some of Maus’ most triumphal work: ‘Molly (No Name)’, ‘The Law’ and ‘Bennington’ are all absolutely undeniable. You can now stream the record in full over at Gorilla Vs. Bear – click here to listen.

A Collection Of Rarities And Previously Unreleased Material is due on July 17, courtesy of Ribbon.
