As his venturesome Summer Mix For Heads And Toes shows, Ninja Tune homie Drew ‘FaltyDL’ Lustman likes to explore the positive tension between the breezy and the melancholic.

Appearing on Benji B’s Radio 1 show earlier this week, the NY producer unveiled new track ‘For Karme’. In his antsier moments, Lustman can sometimes sound barmy; here, he’s positively balmy. A looped E.piano figure, some Meccano hi-hats and a little bit of sparkle dust all make for a track that’s gossamer without being flimsy. Fans of John Roberts and Kuedo alike should find a fair bit to enjoy here.
