Plastic People, best known for its game-changing FWD>> night, has another notable new event on the books.

1-800 DINOSAUR boasts an illustrious executive committee: producer/singer-songwriter extraordinaire James Blake, one-time collaborator and R&S stablemate Airhead, R&S’ Dan Foat, Klaus and Blake drummer Ben Assiter. The project apparently developed out of a series of impromptu sets by the gang at aftershow parties, and Space Dimension Controller has guested at past get-togethers.

The rubric? Ultra-eclectic, antything goes, good-time fare. 1-800 DINOSAUR will be kicking off in earnest on Wednesday August 1. More info is available over at the night’s Tumblr page [via Dummy].
