That’s not Zebra Katz on “Fierce.” It’s Franklin Fuentes sampled from a classic bitch track on Strictly Rhythm. He sounds nothing like Zebra Katz. I’m trying to decide if such a glaring mistake is offensive. Either way…

It’s a good mix, and definitely agreed that she’s got a professional, nimble flow. For me though, the hip-hop tropes she repeatedly employs are just too tired. (If you removed every time she says “bitch” “nigger” “pussy” etc. etc., how many words would be left on the mix? Eight?)

She faces the same challenge as everyone else who rhymes over dance beats–it’s hard to say much of substance. A great start, but I challenge her to bring the missing element, which is lyrical content.
