Murk existed in the early 1990's releasing a dozen Deep House vinyls. By late 1995 they weren't releasing anymore new music. MERCK started releasing in January of 2000, and ran for 7 years. Though Murk did do some re-release stuff in the later 2000's of their old material, the labels were never active at the same times. Ultimately, it is very unlikely that there was much confusion or fan overlap between a Deep House label and a strong IDM label anyway, so I'm not sure how you could try and make that correction without giving it more than a few seconds thought.

Murk records and Merck records both existed in Miami around the same time; Murk came a little bit earlier (90s) and overlapped a bit into Merck's early 2000s time period. Both are pretty rad, and very different in the music they released.

That pic of Jimmy Edgar is KILLING ME!
I can't take that dude seriously; I just can't.
He's like the Dave Navarro of electronic music.
He's like the hair metal equivalent of the whole genre.
It's just . . . . disturbing.

Erm, unless we're completely mistaken, the Miami label they're talking about is called Merck, not Murk (and discogs would seem to agree: http://www.discogs.com/label/Merck)
