In the coming days, FACT TV will run a full-length interview with Thunderbird Gerard.

Originally from New York, but now living in Berlin, Gerard’s not released much, but what he has has been impressive: in the debt of golden era hip-hop but without being in thrall to it, he’s got the sort of skill and personality that could make his forthcoming debut album a real hit. He’s also, as we found out, obsessed with Tom Waits – this aside didn’t fit the final cut of our interview, but it’s worth watching nonetheless:
