The ever-expanding Sonar brand has branched out into the peripatetic festival market.
This year, Sonar have already masterminded large scale events in Sao Paulo, Tokyo and Cape Town, not to mention their regular annual mega-festival in Barcelona. Their last venture of 2012 is the ‘Sonar North American Tour’, which will set off around the US and Canada between October 31 and November 10. Along the way, it’ll make one-night-only stops in Chicago, Toronto, NYC, Montreal, Boston, Denver, Oakland and L.A.
Each night will feature the same roster of acts. Ludic South African rap unit Die Antwoord will be showcasing their inimitable (and sometimes controversial) zef sound. Canadian party starters Azari & III, meanwhile, can be expected to keep things vibrant with their flamboyant electro-house stylings. Techno/house star Seth Troxler, previously of Crosstown Rebels and Wolf + Lamb, and BPitch regular Paul Kalkbrenner are also on the bill. Electro poster boy Tiga, Gesaffelstein and Nic Fanciulli will also be appearing.
For further information and tickets, head to the Sonar North American Tour website Dates are below: note that Tiga will not be appearing at the last two dates, and that Gesaffelstein will only appear in Chicago, Toronto and Denver.
