The New York duo deliver on the violent promise of Waka Flocka’s ‘Murda.’

Waka’s latest mixtape cut ‘Murda’ is standard issue (no pun intended) trap rap. With a beat by Brick Squad’s in-house talent Southside, the original is an ignorance-embracing ode to street violence, featuring goon-of-the-moment Chief Keef.

White Ring, who emerged as part of the “witch house” movement, have reworked ‘Murda’ into something more befitting the song’s title. Waka’s hook is screwed into oblivion, while ratatat synth lines ricochet like one of the lyrical “choppas.”
