Ettinger adds some bodies to the Lifetime of Romance cover art in the video for ‘Blue and Blue.’

The closing track on Ettinger’s latest album receives a music video by fellow Bloomingtonians Nineteenth State. Directed and edited by Nathan Vollmar, it matches the tone of the song exactly.

When we wrote about the song earlier this year, we noted the song’s “very pretty blushes of synth” and “an air of Dan Deacon wackiness.” Both come through in the video, which features Ettinger and two dour hipsterettes manipulating the song’s squealing synthesizers.

As far as performance videos go, the glitchy, bleached-out clip is a captivating one. Lifetime of Romance is out now on Not Not Fun Records.
