Brooklyn duo Telepathe announce tour dates and iPhone app

Brooklyn duo Telepathe have announced a succession of live dates, including two London shows.

Busy Gangnes and Melissa Livaudais released a series of singles between 2006 and 2009, climaxing in 2009’s debut album, Dance Mother. FACT’s second favourite album of the year (official, natch), the group are preparing to follow it with Destroyer. Mixed by Ken Thomas (past credits include M83 and Sigur Ros) and produced by Telepathe and Lewis Pesacov (Best Coast and many more), there’s no release date confirmed for Destroyer, but the press release sent out for this tour claims that “details will follow shortly”.

Telepathe are also planning to release an iPhone app to accompany their new single, also titled ‘Destroyer’. Created in collaboration with The Strange Agency, the results promise “an experimental realtime loop manipulation and composition tool, in which users can remix the ‘Destroyer’ single and share their mixes with friends. The app also lets users import or record their own sounds, to mix with the single or to create entirely new compositions.”

You can catch the duo on the following dates, and stream ‘Destroyer’ below:
