Italian festival Club To Club are to preface their main event with a highly promising London showcase.

The Italian New Wave Night will take place at Shoreditch’s Village Underground on October 18, and is designed to showcase the best of Italy’s current crop of producers and musicians. The headliner, however, is British born and bred. Kuedo will be playing an exclusive London show, airing the brittle future-music that made last year’s Severant so utterly distinctive.

The rest of the bill has a distinctly Italian flavour. Stroboscopic Artefacts head honcho Lucy, responsible for the excellent Wordplay For Working Bees LP, will be synthesising dub, house and ambient. Old hand Lory D, currently back in the spotlight after some incendiary acid-inflected release for Numbers, is on board, as is Detroit-indebted unit \Esperanza. O/One Circle, Giorgio Valletta and cosmic legend Daniele Baldelli are also due to appear.

The night runs from 7.00pm until 2.00am. Club To Club takes place in Torino on November 8-11; the line-up includes Actress, SBTRKT, Apparat, Disclosure and Clark. Tickets and further details on both events are available from the Club To Club website.
